Classic period (250 cal BC-100 AD) (settlement)

The post-Talaiotic dwellings of Son Fornés were progressively abandoned and others were built. At the beginning of the 2nd century it is possible to see a complete urbanistic reorganisation. In the area which has been excavated since 1988, six different sites are documented, various open air spaces interpreted as streets, waste ground and rubbish tips. Altogether this formed a type of neighbourhood set aside for food storage, the production of farming tools, weaving and pottery.
