The Talaiot community who lived in Son Fornés maintained a subsistence economy in which livestock played a fundamental role. This activity was complemented by the collection of wild plants and some kind of minor crop. Each domestic unit was self-sufficient and there is no data to endorse the existence of a social sector made up of specialists. The
limited storage space made evident in each house indicates that the provision
of food was a daily chore, and the homogeneity of both furniture and houses
suggests egalitarian relationships amongst domestic units.
